Description
A swing check valve lets flow push a hinged disc open and drops it back onto the seat when flow stops or reverses — a clear flow path that keeps pressure drop low in process and utility lines. Standard practice is horizontal installation, or a vertical run with upward flow and the hinge pin horizontal; downward flow does not suit a gravity-closed disc. FerruleX quotes stainless swing checks per line size, flange or thread standard, pressure class and material named on the RFQ. Values are class-typical references for this configuration: flanged ASME Class 150 / 300 bodies in cast CF8M (316) stainless, with cataloged small-bore ranges commonly starting at 1/2 inch and metal or resilient seats. Line size, class and seat are confirmed on the RFQ.
The disc pivots on a hinge pin out of the flow path, so the valve barely throttles the line in the open position — the reason swing discs are chosen for low-pressure-drop duty. Closure is gravity- and flow-assisted, which makes orientation a real selection item: horizontal lines, or vertical with flow upward and the hinge pin level. State on the RFQ: line size, flange or thread standard, pressure class, material, and installation orientation. The catalog's spring-type checks remain the default for instrument lines; swing checks are quoted per line size.

What should I send for a quote?
Size, material (SS304, SS316 or SS316L), quantity, end connection and destination. Add a sketch if the two ends are different.
How fast can this ship?
Stocked sizes usually leave 5–7 days after you confirm the quote. Make-to-order runs are about 15–25 days in production, then transit. Name the port if you want CIF.
Can I order a small trial or put my logo on it?
Yes. Trial quantities are quoted, and OEM marking or drawings are accepted. Payment is normally T/T with about 30% deposit, balance before shipment, or L/C at sight.
